Objectification of women [Fair or unfair?]

Introduction  Before we dig right in, permit me to state squarely that this phenomenon applies very much to men as it applies to women. However, it seems all too obvious that the female gender is much more on the receiving end, when this topic is brought to light. From the Transgender movement to the epidemic of porn. It has become all too obvious that our orientation about the opposite sex is perturbed. It seems as though the trophy for our interaction with them is sex. So therefore, our fantasies become shaped around that goal. Not just our fantasies but also, our actions. Matt Walsh of the Dailly wire released a book and a video documentary asking people in different regions of the world to explain or define "what a woman is". Most gave up their capacity to define what a woman is cause they believe it is the duress of those who identify as women to define what "a woman" is and not theirs. When the same question was thrown at women [both biological women and Trans...

Aesthetics vs Character

To make beauty the fulcrum upon which you make your decision in choosing a life partner is absurd and a demonstration of negligence and ignorance.  While it is a blessing (God's common grace) to find people attractive, we should not be found using that as the meter for judging people as to whether they are fit or not to take a stand side by side with us in our journey through life. Beauty is like water. Trying to lay hold of it is a futile task because in little or no time you are definitely going to loose it. Either by virture of the poor contenance of the digits of your hand or by viture of evaporation.  No wonder in the description of the virteous women in Proverb 31, there's no allusion to beauty in her praise. But rather a counter in the 30th verse of that same chapter.

Naked

And then God asked, who told you you are naked? And then he confessed, that he had eaten off the forbidden fruit. Though not directly, but indirectly. That is, by playing the blame game.

God's Word vs The Culture.

Two decades ago, no one would conceptualise the kind of genders and relationships we’ve instituted in the form of LGBTQ, and not be disgusted. But today we defend and celebrate them like Martin Luther king Junior did for the blacks in the 20th century. Acting as though we are fighting for the most righteous course. Not realising that by so doing, we reject God created order. In Christ’s high Priestly prayer after the upper room discourse, we can hear Him affirming John 1:1 when He clearly states in John 17:8 that He had passed down the very word which He received from His Father. No wonder Paul went on to say that all scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for us [Tim 3:16]. So therefore, to deny the eligibility of verses like Romans 1:26-27 and Leviticus 18:22 is to revolt against God. Truth be told, my postulate above may sound like a foreign phenomenon that is yet to pierce our culture. But for the fact that characters like Bobrisky and James Brown already serve as role models...

Forgive and Forget, (Is this fantasy or reality)?

Sometimes saying OK to an "I am sorry" statement is hard to do. Because you tend to feel that such behaivour is inbuilt in the person and may continue to show up in different ways and different times. However, who amongst us is without sin? Let him cast the first stone. This was the statement made by our Saviour when a lady was brought fought by a sect amongst the jews for condemnation after participating in adultery. Funny as it may seem, there was no mention of the man, thereby citing their bias. This bias was already a shortcoming on their own end. Not to mention their Adamic nature which predisposed them to sin and condemnation too. Though they had placed their trust on atonement via animal sacrifice. They ignored or were in other words, oblivious to the seriousness of their depravity and hence were in need of a Saviour and not just mere animal sacrifices. More also, a lack of understanding of how depraved they were caused them to think too highly of themselves. Like the ...

Infatuation

Oh no, I thought I had outgrown this menace called infatuation. Saw her again and this time the feeling is more heated than ever before. She looked very much like fresh bread, fresh out of the oven. Her smile, more captivating than any art Leonardo da Vinci ever drew. And her presence more awe inspiring than the 7 wonders of the world. The dream of ever being together fits more perfectly into the category of imagination than realism. She's my Philo, and there's nothing I won't do for my Philo. However, there are rules and there are consequences for breaking those rules. Hence I most make myself ready for the time so that my act then will be right and perfectly timed. #WeGoAgain

The Worse Pain

It's the pain that emanates from issues affecting the heart. You feel it but you can do almost nothing about it. Except you decide to pop some pills or indulge in some self debasing acts.
